The Proteas have never won a T20 World cup tournament despite their team full of talented and experienced players. The latter will aim to change things and win the trophy. That said, India has not lifted the trophy after the 2007 inaugural edition and the men in blue will be eager to put their hands on the trophy again.

The Indian cricket team will begin their T20 World Cup 2024 campaign on June 5 against Ireland and will clash against Bangladesh on June one for a warm-up match fixture.

South Africa Team Overview

For the T20 World Cup 2024, South Africa is the only team among its counterparts to have arranged an intra-squad warmup match. This season, the Proteas having a great potential team will be hoping for their first-ever T20 World Cup title and they are highly motivated to win it with a blend of experienced and all-professional players. 

So far, no injuries have been reported in the team but there was an earlier diagnosis of infection on pacer Kagiso Rabada who has now been given the green light to take part in T20 World Cup 2024.
