Founded in 2008, Delhi Capitals is a franchise cricket team representing Delhi. Jointly owned by the GMR Sports Pvt Ltd and the JSW Sports Pvt Ltd , Delhi Capitals team has its home ground in Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi. Previously known as Delhi Daredevils, Delhi Capitals squad rebranded itself in 2018 following a string of lackluster seasons, the team logo was also given an overhaul to spark enthusiasm amongst the players.
One of the key underachievers of the IPL, Delhi Capitals has made it to the IPL finals only once, in 2020, though they eventually lost to Mumbai Indians.
